In this junior chef session, we’ll be teaching how to bake ginger cookies. A favourite biscuit of the season, with the Mediterranean addition of carob, to produce a richer, more sumptuous cookie. We’ll make these more decadent by whipping up a flavoured mascarpone filling. We will also show the kids the simple science behind royal icing to give them the perfect consistency for piping and will demonstrate a variety of techniques and designs. Is prior experience required? No prior experience is needed our numbers in each group are kept low to give the necessary attention to each participant. How old does my child need to be? We welcome all junior chefs from ages 8-16yrs. Will they get the chance to eat the food they’ve cooked? At the end of every session, your budding gourmands can sit down and nourish themselves with the food that they have prepared. Where will the session take place? The session will take place in our new fully equipped kitchen in Naxxar. How long is the session? 3hrs
