Join us on a journey through history and discover how new ingredients not only changed the landscape of the Maltese islands but its people’s diets as well. We will be teaching how to create Maltese Ravjul. This traditional Maltese dish holds a special place in the hearts of the Maltese people.

About the event

What’s included?

- Local appetisers such as local sheep cheese, house-made Maltese sausage, our own private label endemic olive oil, house made local dips and local confit olives.

- A cooking session were our chef instructor will guide you through the process of making fresh pasta dough and shaping it into perfect ravjul. These will be filled with a farce made from locally sourced ġbejna and pecorino, finished with a refined tomato sauce using quality produce.

- Local Wine.

Correctly preparing a sheep’s cheese farce

Tips on plating food beautifully

Do I need to bring anything with me?

No, we will provide you with an apron as well as all the ingredients, and equipment needed for the duration of the session. 

Will I get time to eat what food I’ve cooked?

Yes! You can choose to enjoy the fruits of your labor and sit at your table to dig into your meal with a glass regional wine made from endemic grapes.

Where will the session take place?

The session will take place in our new fully equipment kitchen in Naxxar. 

How long is the session?

Approx 3hrs.
